We went on our first official bike ride yesterday. We couldn’t have picked a harder route!! We rode to a park, which is probably only 3-4 miles away. The only problem is that it is one of the ONLY places we could have rode that has that steep of hills! Try lugging 50 pounds of kids, plus the weight of a trailer up a steep hill that is probably a full 2 blocks long! You may be able to do it, but for someone who hasn’t been on a bicycle in years, it was pure torture. Surprisingly, I’m not nearly as sore today as I thought I would be. Last night I couldn’t hardly move. But, if it’s like any other time I’ve started working out, I’ll be my sorest tomorrow. Always on the second day, for some reason.

The kids had a blast! The park that we went to is one of the best in town and has all sorts of great things to swing on and climb. Ian fell asleep in the trailer on the way back and Ripley was almost asleep. Gavin was a little nervous on the third wheel seat, but got the hang of it. He still won’t help peddle, but at least he’s used to it. He’ll be peddling in no time!! We brought our friend Ray with us. He played with the kids and had fun, too.
