Brian and I both (finally) got bikes! Yea! It’s been many years since either of us had bikes and I am looking forward to riding all over town this summer. We got a trailer for Ripley and Ian and an attachment for Gavin that goes on the back of Brian’s bike and makes it have a third wheel. It turns it into a tandem bike, with the seat lower so that Gavin can get on and off by himself. I’ll post pictures when I take them. Before we were married, Brian and I rode our bikes everywhere, sometimes as much as 20 miles a day. We were in great shape and hardly ever drove our car. That is my goal for this summer.

On another note, I just got the Yoga Booty Ballet (YBB) DVD’s and did my first workout yesterday. It was pretty fun and I can feel it today. We also went to a club to watch a disco cover band and danced my booty off there, so I’m not sure if I’m feeling the YBB workout or the dancing I did for 3 hours!! Probably a little of both. 🙂

I hope everyone had a great St. Patrick’s day! We went to Old Town and watched a parade. After, there was an Irish festival with a live band playing in Old Town Square. They didn’t sound too Irish, but we had fun. We were thinking about biking to Old Town (9 miles), but that would have been just a tad ambitious, seeing as we’ve only been out once on our bikes, so far. Gavin hasn’t even had a chance to try out his new attachment thing for the bike. We decided to drive, instead, and go biking today. I never realized all the things you have to buy for your bike! A tire repair kit, bike locks, tire pump, helmets… Yes, I bought a helmet and will wear it to set a good example for the kids. I would like to learn how to tune up my bike, so I don’t have to take it to the shop for tuning and repairs. Oh, well. Off to get the kids ready and go on our bike ride!
