Easter came and was good. Pretty much. The sort of normal family stuff one does to get them to the next holiday. Well, that evening, I started to get a scratchy throat and then it started to feel like it was swelling inside. That’s a pretty scary experience, to have your throat feel like it’s closing. That night, Gavin started to have a horrible night terror, which he has had a lot in the past, but this was the worst one he’s had in months. Maybe even close to a year. After we were able to settle him down, I went to check in on Ian. The moment I opened his door, the smell of vomit and diarrhea hit me in the face. So gross. He had thrown up in his sleep and had diarrhea, so I had to change his bedding and Brian and I gave him a bath, before putting him back down. Well, he wouldn’t go back to sleep. He just kept crying, so I brought him into our bed to see if I could coax him into sleeping with us. That was at 1:30 AM. Well, he finally fell asleep around 3:30 AM. Then Gavin had a nightmare. I woke up with him and calmed him down and got him back to sleep and was finally able to go to sleep, myself, around 4:00 AM. I slept until around 7:30, when Ian woke back up again for the morning. Brian got up with Ian, so I slept in a little while. When I woke up, my throat felt so sore, I could hardly speak.

Ian pretty much had a fever for the next 2 days and has slept a ton. Even when he’s awake, he’s just laying everywhere, not wanting to play or eat. Poor guy. I’m starting to feel better, but now Brian started to get the sore throat and Gavin’s voice is getting hoarse. Hopefully this all clears up soon, since Ripley’s birthday is Friday and we are planning a birthday party with some of her friends.

Grr…I hate being sick! I keep telling myself, “I am not sick. I am in perfect health.” I think this makes me feel better. šŸ˜€
